Reclining Twist

Reclining Twist (Block)

Placing a block under the knees brings comfort in this twisting pose.

Reclining Twist (Cactus Arms)

The arms can be spread long horizontally like a "T" or "Cactus" Arms like this: Cactus Arms gives a nice chest opener and helps when mats are close to only another (so we are not touching each other).

Reclining Twist (Bound Legs)

Twisting the legs over one another brings extra weight on the bottom leg working as a prop to make the stretch go deeper.

Reclining Twist (T Arms)

With arms out in "T" position, the shoulders are to be pressed against the ground. This gives a mellow and supported chest opener.

Reclining Twist (Straight Leg)

Try straightening the top leg and grabbing for the foot or using a strap: this brings an extra stretch to the muscles in the back of the leg.
